Visualizer
Julio Siette - Altars
Realtime visualizer for Julio Siette’s afro house track Altars: a digital desert where light, bass, and bloom answer an invisible thread.
A track that asked for a place
Julio Siette approached me to build a visualizer for Altars, a piece about the invisible thread that ties us all together. He wanted a desert with an altar at the centre: open, almost sacred, divine without becoming literal. The brief was atmosphere first: a world the track could inhabit, not a montage sitting on top of it.

Desert, altar, signal
The scene is a digital desert: sand and horizon, one altar holding the middle axis. A beam of light falls from the sky with the kicks, each hit a vertical strike through empty space. Around the perimeter, a sound-wave ribbon tracks the bass like a fence of signal. At the drop, a flower rises through the altar: growth timed to the music, not pasted on as decoration.

TouchDesigner and generative bloom
The full environment was built in TouchDesigner as an audio-reactive system: light, perimeter wave, and desert field driven by the track. The flower was generated in MeshyAI, then imported and animated inside TD. Effects, materials, and staging were authored there so image and music stay locked in realtime.

One continuous visual ritual
The result is a continuous visualizer: desert, altar, kick-light, bass ribbon, and bloom as one system rather than separate layers. The full piece lives on YouTube.
